MADERA, CALIFORNIA (December 18, 2018) – The fifth season of televised stock car action at Madera Speedway on MAVTV will be enhanced by a new contingency partnership with Five Star Bodies, in a program announced Monday. Five Star will offer the contingency program for all 18 Late Model races comprising of the RPM Mortgage Pro Late Model Series and 51FIFTY Jr. Late Model Series.

The top-three in each feature will receive a certificate for body parts. First will receive $300, second $200, and third $100. A complete body package of the new 2019 “Gen-6” style body will be given away at the banquet as well.

Madera’s Late Models offer a rules package of just 13 rules, allowing for many different body types and engine types controlled by a grooved 8” tire and weight penalties. The result has allowed for many innovations in the visual body aspect of the cars, with the adoption of the 2019 Five Star body one of the results. The highly anticipated new look should give divisions even more of a cutting edge feeling throughout the season on the one-third mile oval.

“We are excited to join forces with Five Star as we feel we can do a lot for them with our MAVTV show and they can do a lot for our race teams with their innovative, premium body products,” Promoter Kenny Shepherd said. “This is the beginning of a long-term relationship that will improve our sport and we are excited about the marketing partnership.”

“We are looking forward to our partnership with Kenny Shepherd and Madera Racing on MAVTV,” Jody Salter of Five Star said. “We look forward to being the official body manufacturer of Madera Racing, which all of us at Five Star watch and are huge fans of! This is a great opportunity for Five Star as a company to support the community of racers that support the Madera Speedway.”

The season kicks off on March 9th with nine nights of action seeing both Late Model divisions competing. The season culminates with the $10,000 to win Short Track Shootout on October 5th.
