Dave Grayson's Hot Racing Tickets For October 8th

We begin our listings this week with special events in the California cities of Stockton, Bakersfield and Madera because their tickets are so hot you may need protective gloves to hold them.

STOCKTON 99 SPEEDWAY. 1/4 MILE. STOCKTON, CA. www.stocktonspeedway.com FRIDAY & SATURDAY, OCTOBER 7TH & 8TH.

KERN COUNTY RACEWAY PARK. 1/2, 1/4 & 1/8 MILE. BAKERSFIELD, CA. www.kernraceway.com SUNDAY, OCTOBER 9TH.

These two tracks are linked together this weekend because they're both presenting the California based season finale, and championship weekend, for the Royal Purple King of the Wing National Sprint Car Series. This special evening at the Stockton 99 is being presented by Orchex with additional co-sponsorship Xyience Energy Drink.

Also on the Stockton race agenda will be the BCRA Midgets, the NCMA Modifieds and the San Jose Modifieds. The front gates will open at 5pm with the green flag falling over the racing at 6pm.

Adult tickets, age 16 to 59, are $20. Tickets for juniors, age 11 to 15, and seniors, age 60 plus, are $15. Kids age ten and under will be admitted free.

Once the checkers fall at Stockton, it will be time for the teams from the King of the Ring Series to load up their cars and equipment to make the trip to Bakersfield - the home of the Kern County Raceway Park for Sunday's George Snider Classic. For the third consecutive year this national sprint car series will be finishing their racing season, and crowning a champion, at Kern Raceway. This series has, without doubt, the fastest cars to ever compete on the Kern Raceway's 1/2 mile, high banked oval. The all time track record, 14.29 seconds, was set by driver Jo Jo Helberg. On Sunday night the Sprints will be running a series of heat races and then conclude their 2016 season with a 40 lap main event.

The George Snider Classic was named in honor of Indianapolis 500 legend George "Ziggy" Snider of Bakersfield who made 22 starts in the "Indy 500" driving for legendary car owner, and longtime friend, A J Foyt.

Also participating in Sunday's on track action will be the NASCAR Super Stocks, the INEX Legends and the 911 Racing Series. The spectator gates will open at 2pm followed by a King of the Wing practice session at 215pm. Fans will be invited to visit trackside for a driver autograph session at 330pm. King of the Wing single car qualifying will commence at 410pm following by racing at 5pm.

Adult tickets, age 16 plus, are $15. Tickets for seniors, age 65 plus, active military with valid ID and kids, age six to 15 are $10. Kids age five and under will be admitted free. The raceway will also be offering a family pass, priced at $35.which admits two adults and either two seniors or two kids. Reserved stadium seats, at $20, are currently available.

Here's the other red hot ticket of the weekend. The fastest one-third mile in the west is going to be handing out a lot of money to race drivers this Saturday night. The evening will be highlighted by the 125 lap, $10,000 to win, short track shootout for the MAV TV Televised Loan Mart Open Late Model Series.

Also on this hot ticket will be the Lucas Oil Modified Racing Series, presented by Loan Mart, who will run a 75 lap main event that pays the winner $5,000.

Also on the Madera race agenda will be the Super Hobby Stock Series, Race #8 of the 51 FIFTY Junior Late Model Series and the Mini Cup Nationals.

The Loan Mart Madera weekend starts on Friday Night with an open practice session for all divisions from 3 to 9pm. The grandstands will be open free of charge for the fans. Saturday race day begins with practice at 1030am, qualifying at 1245pm. heat races and B mains at 3pm with opening ceremonies and main events beginning 530pm.

General admission tickets, age 13 and up, are $15. Tickets for Seniors and military personnel are $13. Youth tickets, are six to 12, are $7 with kids age five and under admitted free. If you're thinking those are low prices for a special event featuring that many racing divisions and laps you're right. Those ticket prices were made possible thanks to track sponsors Loan Mart, 51 FIFTY Energy Drink and Twisted Tea.

IRWINDALE EVENT CENTER. 1/2 & 1/3 MILE OVALS 1/8 MILE DRAGSTRIP. IRWINDALE, CA. www.irwindalespeedway.com THURSDAY, OCTOBER 6TH & FRIDAY AND SATURDAY OCTOBER 7TH & 8TH.

Once the Irwindale Event Center will divide it's oval tracks into sections to present two totally diverse forms of racing. It all begins with their NHRA Thursday Night Drag Racing program. It's street legal racing sending the all important message race the strip and not the streets. The spectator gates will open at 4pm with the drag racing running from 5 to 10pm. This program is very budget friendly; you can race all night for a $20 entry fee. Spectator tickets are priced at $10.

Then on Friday and Saturday the IEC will present two nights of slideways, rubber burning, Formula Drift. presented by BlackVue. It's the final night of the season and the O'Reilly Auto Parts Title Fight, presented by Gum Out, will decide which driver was the best of the year.

On Friday the gates will open at 2pm followed immediately by a practice session for all divisions. Qualifying rounds will be held at 415pm followed by an on track autograph session for the fans at 645pm. Saturday's gates will also open at 2pm and will be followed by a practice session. At 340pm the Pro Main Competition, Round of 32, will begin. Following an intermission at 530pm, there will be a VIP Experience track walk at 6pm. Then, following opening ceremonies at 7pm, the track gets hot with the main competition: the round of 16.

Furia Motorsports will be presenting a lot of action and destruction at lakeport this Saturday night by featuring jalopy racing, boat racing and those behemoth monster trucks. The spectator gates will open at 330pm with the showtime set for 6pm.

General admission tickets, age 12 plus, are $15. Tickets for kids, age five to 11, are $12.

MAGIC VALLEY SPEEDWAY. 1/3 MILE. TWIN FALLS, ID. www.magicspeedway.com SATURDAY, OCTOBER 8TH.

It's championship night at Magic Valley. That usually means the racing intensity is usually amped up a notch with drivers prepared to do what is necessary to improve their final points standings and collect those bonus checks at banquet time.

Providing the on track action Saturday night will be the Royal Purple Mods, the National Guard Super Stocks, Project Filters Street Stocks, Quale's Electronic Junior Stiners and the evening will conclude with the Quale's Electronics Trailer Race of Destruction. The spectator gates will open at 5pm followed by McDonald's time trials at 630pm and racing at 7pm.

Adult tickets, age 13 plus, are $15 with tickets for seniors, age 62 plus, priced at $10. Kid's tickets, are six to 12, are $3. Military personnel with ID are always admitted free at this speedway.

It's championship night #2 at Rocky Mountain this Saturday. Racing divisions, with drivers going after those last chance bonus points, will include the Shoq Late Models, University Federal Credit Union Sprint Cars, Midgets, the Sommers Auto Wrecking Hornets, and Tucker Towing Deckers. The front gates will open at 4pm followed by qualifying at 5pm, heat races at 6pm and main events at 7pm.

General admission tickets, age 13 and up, are $15. Youth tickets, age five to 12, are $5 with kids age four and under admitted free.

Remember, we the fans need to support these programs. If we don't they go away and become memories of the good times we use to have sitting in their grandstands. It's time once again for All American's annual Fall Classic highlighted by the presence of the always exciting Pacific Challenge Late Model Series. Also on the race agenda will be the NSCS Modifieds and the Street Stocks. The weekend begins on Friday night with an open practice sessions for all divisions. On Saturday race day the spectator gates will open at 4pm with the green flag falling on the Fall Classic at 6pm.
Adult tickets, age 16 to 59, are $10. Tickets for seniors, age 60 plus, and kids, age 6 to 15, are $7. Kids under the age of 6 will be admitted free. The speedway also offers a fan friendly family package, priced at $35 which admits 2 adults and 3 kids.

Evergreen will be hosting the Les Schwab Tires NASCAR Championship Night this Saturday night. The anticipated red hot track action will be provided by the Late Models, Street Stocks, Mini Stocks, Super Stock Figure Eights, Outlaw Figure Eights, Stinger Eights, Pro 4 Trucks, Hornets and Legends.

The association will be presenting round 6 of their club race schedule this Saturday. The Good Times Quarter Midget Racing Association is designed for the racing development of young drivers age 5 to 16. This diversity in the age of the drivers means a lot of racing action on their small track located in the pit area of the Madera Speedway. There's going to be 17 different race classes hitting the track Saturday morning following the mandatory pit meeting at 845am. Once again the IEC will be turning a portion of their 1/2 mile oval into a 1/8 mile drag strip in order to present their NHRA Thursday Night Thunder program while proclaiming the very important message: race the strip and not the street. This program is open to all vehicles from professional race cars to street legal passenger cars. The spectator gates will open at 4pm followed by five hours of racing from 5 to 10pm.
The program is also very budget friendly. The entry fee, for the five hours of racing, is only $20 . General admission tickets are $10.

It's Jim Burke Ford Night At The Races at Kern County RWP this Saturday and the number one Ford dealer in Kern County will be presenting racing action from the NASCAR Late Models, the NASCAR Spec Mods, the NASCAR Mini Stocks, the INEX Bandoleros and the Racecar Factory Spec Late Models.

The Las Vegas Bullring is always going to be a hot ticket because, quite frankly, the words Las Vegas and stock car racing simply belongs in the same sentence.

Saturday is NASCAR Whelen All American Series Championship Night. It will be the final points race for all NASCAR and USLCI teams that calls the Bullring their home track. This includes the NASCAR Super Late Models, the NASCAR Super Stocks, the Bombers and Grand American Modifieds. Also seeing action Saturday night will be the USLCI Legends, USLCI Bandoleros and the USLCI Thunder Roadsters along with the USAC HPD Midgets and the Skid Plate cars.

Now here's a hot ticket from a racing organization who specializes in hot tickets for their fans. Loan Mart Madera will be presenting race 7 of the MAV TV televised, $1,000 to win, Open Late Model Series who will be running twin 50 lap mains. There will also be round 7 of the 51 Fifty Junior Late Model Series who will be running twin 25 lap mains.
There's also going to be plenty of action from the Super Hobby Stocks, the MST, Toyota Sedans and the 4 Bangers. The Barrel Race Extreme Enduro Series will be running a 20 lap event followed by a 61 lap Enduro Sprint race.
The full day of racing will begin with a practice session from 1 to 4pm, heat races at 630pm and main events at 7pm.
Adult tickets are $15 and $13 for seniors and military personnel. Youth tickets, age 6 to 12, are $7 with kids age 5 and under admitted free.

It's championship night at Magic Valley and that means an extra layer of racing intensity. The grand finale of the night will be the Quales Trailer Race and Destruction.

Meridian also deserves a red hot tickets status because they will be hosting the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West Saturday Night who will be running the Idaho 208. Five time series winner David Gilliland leads the points championship with only two races left in the season. However, he only holds a 11 point advantage over Ryan Patridge.
Also participating in the on track excitement will be the Pro Trucks, Project Filter Pro 4's and the CWI High School Tuners. The front gates will open at 4pm with the racing beginning at 630pm.
Tickets for adults, seniors, military personnel and kids age 7 plus are $35. Kids age 6 and under will be admitted free.

ORANGE SHOW SPEEDWAY. 1/4 MILE. SAN BERNARDINO, CA. www.theorangeshowspeedway.com. SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 24TH.

The OSS will be treating their fans to a super hot ticket this Saturday highlighted by the Third Annual Open Late Model 100, presented by 1 800 Loan Mart and the Pinnacle Peak Steak House.
100 lap feature is loaded with financial incentives that includes $2,000 to win. Plus there's a $500 bonus to the highest finishing non series regular out of town car and a $500 bonus if a non regular, out of town car, wins race presented by West Coast Collision Center.. Other incentives include $100 to the fastest qualifier, $100 in tow money for teams travelling more than 200 miles one way and $100 for a heat race win. The race schedule calls for three, 25 lap, heats.
There's also going to be plenty of racing action from the speedway's 1 800 Loan Mart Street Stocks, the Extreme Exhibits Outlaw Figure Eights and the OSS Modifieds

The gates will open at 8am for a special practice session from 8am to 1145am. Entry fee is $50 per car to be paid in cash. A fire safety truck and crew will be on site.
The traditional standard practice session will begin at 1pm followed by qualifying at 315pm, heat races at 6pm and main events at 730pm.
General admission tickets are $12. Kids tickets, age 5 to 12, are $10.Kids under age five and active duty military personnel will be admitted free. There is also a $3 parking fee.
Again, this OSS show is expected to be red hot and well worth your ticket money and travel time.

It's championship night at South Sound and the night is going to be highlighted by a 100 lap main event from the Super Late Models. Also on the race agenda will be action from the Hobby Stocks, the Bumblebees, Legends and the WMRA Series. The green flag will wave at 630pm.
Adult tickets, age 18 plus, are $16. Tickets for teens, age 13 to 17, seniors, age 62 plus, and active duty military personnel, with valid ID, are $14. Kids tickets, age 6 to 12, are $7 with kids age 5 and under free.

The Lakeport - Ukiah Speedway Challenge Series, presented by Furia Motorsports, returns to Ukiah Speedway this Saturday. Providing the on track excitement will be the Bandolereo, Bomber, Hard Top, Jammer and Legend divisions. The spectator gates will open at 330pm. Qualifying will commence at 5pm followed by the actual racing.
General admission tickets are $12. Tickets for seniors, age 60 plus, and students with valid ID are $9. Kids tickets, age 5 to 11, along with first responders with valid ID are $6. Toddlers and infants will be admitted free. The speedway also offers a budget friendly family pack, priced at $30, which admits two adults and three kids.

The Wenatchee championships are also up for grabs. The Saturday Night racing fever will be elevated by the Jerry's Auto Supply Pro Late Models, the Pepsi Street Stocks, Dick's Heating and Air Conditioning Thunder Cars along with the Hobby Cars and the Road Runners. The northwest's fastest one quarter mile oval will open its front gates at 5pm with the racing beginning at 630pm.

The historic Famoso Raceway will be staging a very busy weekend featuring multiple NHRA drag racing groups along with a Fan Appreciation Night that's going send a lucky raffle winner to Las Vegas.

The weekend begins with the Hot Rod Heritage Racing Series who will be staging their annual Nostalgia Fall Championship. They will be staging two races, while creating a double points situation during the weekend. Adding to the straight line racing excitement will be the drag racing organizations known as the Ford Fun Weekend and the Mega MOPAR.

The gates will open at 8am on all three days. Friday's schedule calls for an open test and tune session from 12 to 5 pm. On Saturday and Sunday the race agenda calls for time trials and elimination rounds beginning at 9am.
Saturday night is Fan Appreciation Night at Famoso and will be highlighted by the presence of the Good Vibrations Motorsports Saturday Night Nitro Series who will hit the strip at 7 and 930 pm.

The prize list for Fan Appreciation Night is massive with the grand prize being two event tickets to the NHRA's Toyota Nationals to be held at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway's drag strip. The All American Speedway will be rolling out a track load of exciting racing action this Saturday night featuring the Legends of the Pacific, Street Stocks, Bombers, the F 4's and the Pro 4 Modifieds. The spectator gates will open at 4pm with the show going green at 6pm.

Adult tickets, age 16 to 59, are $10. Tickets for seniors, age 60 plus, and children, age 6 to 15, are $7. Children under 6 years old will be admitted free. The speedway also offers a budget friendly family pass, valued at $35, that admits 2 adults and 3 kids.

Ephrata will be treating their fans to action from the Northwest Pro 4 Alliance series who will wrap up their season championship Saturday night. Adding to the excitement will be the presene of the Tri State Street Stocks, the Mini Stocks and the 360 Sprints. The spectator gates will open at 5pm followed by qualifying at 6pm and at 7pm.

When it comes to race tickets, this race track is very fan friendly. General admission tickets for adults are only $8 with tickets for students, seniors and military personnel priced at $7. Kids age 5 and under will be admitted free. The raceway park also offers its fans a very budget friendly family pack, for the low price of $20, which admits 2 adults and 3 youth.

Something very unique and special will be at Evergreen this weekend. It's the Red Bull Global Rally Cross Series' return to the pacific northwest for the first time in two years. Thier GRC Lite and Super Car divisions will be racing on a .791 mile, 8 turn, special road course created from the speedway's unique paved oval configurations.

On Friday the gates will open at 12pm featuring a full day of practice, qualifying and heat races. Saturday's spectator gates will open at 11pm with an agenda featuring warm up rounds, semi finals, last chance qualifiers and the main events.

The main events can also be seen Sunday on NBC Sports beginning at 130pm eastern time. The main events will also be streamed on Red Bull TV at 2pm eastern.

This outstanding program was designed to teach youngsters, age 5 to 16, the ins and outs of quarter midget racing. On any given weekend of the 2016 racing season, the association would be racing at their 1/20th mile paved oval located at the Madera Speedway. However, this weekend they will be participating in Leg five of the California Monza Series hosted by the Capitol Quarter Midget Association. This is a special points championship series involving quarter midget clubs from all over California. Leg number five of the series will be held at the Capitol Speedway located in Rio Linda, California.

The weekend will feature quarter midget action from 12 different racing classes spread out through the various age groups. It all begins on Friday with a special practice session for all divisions beginning at 6pm. Saturday is qualifying day for all divisions and begins following the mandatory pit meeting at 830am. The IEC will convert the back portion of their 1/2 mile paved oval into their 1/8 mile drag strip in order to present their NHRA Thursday Night Thunder program while sending the all powerful and important message: race the strip and not the street. This is one of the true hot tickets of the weekend because it involves the always exciting Lucas Oil Modified Racing Series, presented by 1 800 Loan Mart. Saturday night will feature 30 of the best modified teams from the western states area running the General Tire 75, presented by Fast EZ - EFI.

The high quality main event of the evening will be strongly supported by the raceway park's NASCAR Super Stock and INEX Legend division along with a special appearance from the WRA Vintage Racers. The IEC will be hosting the NASCAR First Responders Appreciation Night presented by Whelen Engineering and Seidner's Collision Centers. All first responders, with valid ID, will be admitted free this Saturday. This is the IEC's way of thanking these brave men and women who often place their very lives on the line in order to protect us during emergency situations.

The speedway will be backing up this program with a full racing schedule led by the Pick Your Part Late Model Late Models who will add to their season championship drama by racing for double points. The Legend Cars will also double their intensity as well by also racing for double points. Also on the busy race agenda will be the RACECAR Factory Spec Late Models, the Seidner's Collision Center's Irwindale Race Trucks along with a special guest appearance by the Robertson's Solar Southwest Tour Trucks. The front gates will open at 4 pm with racing scheduled to begin at 7 pm.

Pre sale adult tickets are currently available, via online or at the speedway office, for $10. These tickets will be priced at $15 on Saturday race day. Children's tickets are $5. WAIT, THERE'S MORE. On September 8th, the IEC will convert the back part of their speedway into their 1/8th mile drag strip: the home of their NHRA Thursday Night Thunder program. This special program is open to all street legal vehicles and sends the powerful message: race the strip and not the streets. The spectator gates will open at 4 pm followed by five hours of drag racing from 5 to 10pm. This very important program is budget friendly. Drivers can race all night for a $20 entry fee while spectators can watch them race for a $10 race ticket.

WAIT, HERE'S EVEN MORE. Following Saturday night's oval racing, the IEC staff will again set up their drag strip in order to present round 6 of the NHRA Summit Racing Series on Sunday, September 11th. Featured racing divisions will be the Pro, Pro Bike, Sportsman and Super Pros. The spectator gates will open at 9 am followed by time trials at 1015 am and elimination runs at 1 pm.
