Ventura, California (November 25, 2019).........It's been nearly three decades since the Turkey Night Grand Prix has reached the levels of enormity in car count and buzz than it has entering this Thursday's 79th edition of the prestigious event, but that's certainly the case in 2019.

Liggett Tops Merced USAC/CRA Debut

MERCED, CA - SEPTEMBER 6, 2019... Racing from fifth, Austin Liggett (Tracy, CA) slipped by Jake Swanson on the eleventh lap and sprinted to the Friday night "California Sprint Week" debut at Merced Speedway. Piloting the family owned #83 Excel Environmental Services / Liggett Trucking Maxim, Liggett scored his second career AMSOIL USAC/CRA Sprint Car triumph and became the tenth driver to win in fifteen races. The defending USAC West Coast Champion finished ahead of "Hollywood" Danny Faria Jr., Chase Johnson, Brody Roa, and Swanson.

USAC/CRA Sprint Cars Ready To Battle At Santa Maria's "Doug Fort Memorial"

JULY 4, 2019... After a hard fought battle at Perris, the AMSOIL USAC/CRA Sprint Cars will invade the Santa Maria Raceway this Saturday, July 6th. Promoted by Nick Duggan, the "11th Annual Doug Fort Memorial" is the first of two appearances at the central coast 1/3-mile oval. The action packed card will also feature IMCA Modifieds, Mini Stocks, Dwarf Cars, and the NMRA TQ Midgets. Located in Nipomo, California, the front gates at "The West's Best Short Track" will open at 4:00pm, time trials at 5:00pm, and racing will begin at 5:30pm. Robby Josett Wins Battle at Ventura

VENTURA, CA - JUNE 22, 2019... Making his first start of the campaign, Robby Josett (Santa Clarita, CA) outdueled Robert Dalby, Jake Swanson, and Ben Worth to win at Ventura Raceway. Driving Keith Ford's #73K Naturipe / Sun Valley AG Transport TCR, Josett reclaimed the lead on the tenth circuit and stormed to the fifth USAC Western States Midget triumph of his career. Swanson, Dalby, Cody Swanson, and defending champion Michael Faccinto rounded out the top-five drivers.

Guardino Continues to Roll at Santa Maria

SANTA MARIA, CA - JUNE 15, 2019... Regaining the lead from Jake Swanson on lap 21, Tristan Guardino (Fremont, CA) claimed the "Ron Otto Memorial" at Santa Maria Raceway. Driving the family owned #15T Dorso's Automotive / Allied Auto Stores Maxim, Guardino extended his point lead with his third USAC West Coast Sprint Car victory of the season. Fast qualifier Swanson, T.J. Smith, Troy Rutherford, and Cody Majors rounded out the top-five drivers.

USAC Southwest Sprints Return To San Tan Valley

The Sands Chevrolet USAC SouthWest Sprint Cars will head to Arizona Speedway this Saturday, June 1st, for the seventh point race of the season. Promoted by Jonah Trussel, the "Jersey Mike's Subs Kool Summer Nights" will also feature IMCA Sport Mods, IMCA Stock Cars, Dwarf Cars, and the Robert Horne Bombers. USAC Vs. VRA "Battle At The Beach" Resumes At Ventura

This Saturday, June 1st, the USAC West Coast and VRA (Ventura Racing Association) Sprint Cars will clash at Ventura Raceway. Promoted by Jim Naylor, the "ARP Battle at the Beach Race #2" is the second of five appearances at the Ventura County Fairgrounds. VRA Dwarf Cars, VRA Senior Sprint Cars, California Lightning Sprints, and Hobby Stocks are also featured on the action packed card. The Pit Gates will open at Noon, the Front Gates open at 3:00pm, with Racing scheduled for 5:30pm at "The Best Little Dirt Track in America." Hunter Schuerenberg Adds Perris Salute To Indy To Win List

PERRIS, CA - MAY 25, 2019... After battling back and forth with Jake Swanson, Hunter Schuerenberg (Sikeston, MO) took command on lap 7 and led the rest of the way to win the "Salute to Indy" at Perris Auto Speedway. Racing Andy Reinbold and Todd Underwood's #19 AME Electrical / Mesilla Valley Transportation Spike, Schuerenberg earned his second career AMSOIL USAC/CRA Sprint Car triumph over Swanson, Richard Vander Weerd, Matt Mitchell, and R.J. Johnson.
