Warf Picks Up Third Win In Royal Purple Western Sprint Car
SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA (August 9, 2016) – Meridian, ID's Bryan Warf took over the controls of Glenn Hutchison's #8 Royal Purple / All Valley Towing Winged Sprint Car in May and has rocketed to three wins and a runner-up finish in four starts. His third win came on Saturday night with the Orchex King of the Wing Western Sprint Cars at Stockton 99 Speedway.
Warf won against a strong 15 car turnout on the historic quarter-mile paved oval, now in its 68th year of competition. The victory further establishes the Rex Hutchison-powered Beast Chassis as one of the strongest cars and teams in the sport. Glenn's son Dylan drove the car in the season opener at Madera en route to a third place finish, but has been on an extended hiatus due to an injury unrelated to racing. Combined with Warf's two King of the Wing-sanctioned victories, the team now ranks second in the Western King of the Wing owners points.
Warf qualified sixth with an 11.995 second lap on another Stockton race where track records were shattered at the top of the grid. He picked up his first heat race win for Hutchison which set him up for the second heat race. He won the heat race over recent King of the Wing Northwest Swing champion and Western points leader Eric Humphries.
Starting on the pole for the 30 lap feature, Warf would have to fend off numerous challenges. He held off a late charging Humphries along with Davey Hamilton, Jr. to lead all 30 laps for the big $2000 win. The win moves Warf up to sixth in drivers points and has Glenn Hutchison Racing only two points behind Humphries' STE Racing in owners points with a slew of races in October left to run for the King of the Wing Western division.
Along with two King of the Wing Western win, Warf has a win and a second place effort in his two starts in the MAVTV-televised Madera Western Super Sprints. The series last competed on July 9th as part of the Gerhardt Memorial. Warf qualified third and also ran third in his heat race.
His fortunes improved in the 30 lap feature as he found half a second from qualifying and took over the lead from Tom Baker on the second lap of the race. He held off the race's namesake Cody Gerhardt until lap 26 and ripped across the stripe in second position at the finish.
Madera Super Sprints air on MAVTV on Thursday nights at 5 p.m. Pacific / 8 p.m. as part of the "Madera Racing" motorsports show. Check your local listings.

SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA (March 21, 2016) – Dylan Hutchison charged through the field to place third in the opening round of the Orchex King of the Wing Western Sprintcar Series, Saturday night at Madera Speedway. Hutchison drives a family-owned #8 LearnPort / Royal Purple Beast Hutchison and competed against a 15 car field on the one-third mile asphalt oval.
Saturday's races will also be televised on MAVTV with a tentative air date in May.
Hutchison concluded practice with the third best time with a 12.570 / 93 mph lap around the speedway. That set the stage for qualifying where the All Valley Tow #8 ranked seventh with a 13.072 second lap after spinning from loose conditions.
Hutchison looked to rebound from the qualifying effort in his eight lap heat race. In a field that included championship contenders Davey Hamilton, Jr. and AJ Russell, Hutchison led all eight laps after charging from the second row into the lead on the opening lap. He took the checkers in the lightning fast heat race for the victory.
15 Orchex King of the Wing Western Sprintcars pushed off for the 30 lap feature with the MAVTV cameras rolling. The race started off with a bang with several cars crashing into the front stretch wall.
Hutchison emerged from the incident in the sixth position on the ensuing restart promptly passed Tom Baker for fifth. He then passed Justin Kawahata and Cody Gerhardt to advance to third by lap 13. With open track in front of him Hutchison drove hard to reel in Robert Stout before a spin in turn four ended that effort on lap 18.
Despite only 12 laps remaining Hutchison went to work using the outside line to methodically pick his way back through the pack. He passed one car per lap to rank third by lap 24. Hutchison chased down Gerhardt for second place but fell a few car lengths short at the line.
Saturday's race was Hutchison's first carrying the Royal Purple brand on the side of his sprint car and the third place finish gives him a great start to the 13 race Western Sprintcar Series campaign. The series takes a break until May 7th when the compete again at Madera Speedway, before a trip to Rocky Mountain Raceway in Salt Lake City, UT on Memorial Day.

Hutchison Set For Return To King Of The Wing In 2016
Dylan Hutchison Racing PR
SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA (January 20, 2016) – 2015 King of the Wing Western Sprintcar Series Rookie of the Year Dylan Hutchison will return for the 2016 series, campaigning his family-owned #8 Halo Learnport Beast Hutchison in the 14 race series. The former NASCAR K&N Pro Series, West racer made a big splash in his open wheel debut in 2015.
The 2016 WSS will hit tracks all over the western United States including five MAVTV & LucasOilRacing.TV televised races at Madera Speedway (CA). The series will also stage its second annual trip to the historic Stockton 99 Speedway (CA) in early August. A return to Havasu 95 Speedway and Tucson Speedway in Arizona is planned for October as well. New on the 2016 slate will be a visit to the ultra-fast 3/8ths mile Rocky Mountain Raceway outside Salt Lake City, UT on Memorial Day.
Three rounds of the WSS will be part of the national King of the Wing tour as well, over the weekend of September 30th - October 2nd. September 30th's event is TBA while Saturday October 1st will be staged at Madera and Sunday October 2nd will be at the series' fastest track Kern County Raceway Park in Bakersfield, CA.
Hutchison intended to spend 2015 slowly getting up to speed, but found himself with a second place main event finish in just the third race of the year at Madera. Hutchison followed that up with a trip to Stockton where he became one of four drivers to break the all-time track record and he wrapped up the night with a third place feature finish. Hutchison found himself inserted into the championship battle with Davey Hamilton, Jr. and Cody Gerhardt. He continued a string of top-tens finishing eighth at Madera in September and sixth at Havasu 95 Speedway in October.
A fourth place finish at Stockton in November set the stage for the three race national King of the Wing weekend to crown the Western champion. Hutchison ran in the top-ten throughout the Friday night main at Madera before a late race spin relegated him to 12th.
Perhaps his best run of the entire season came against the national cars at Irwindale. Utilizing a Rex Hutchison Racing Engines iron block 360 against the aluminum 410s on the half-mile, Hutchison recorded a fifth place finish. With a chance to overtake Gerhardt for second in the points, Hutchison had his sights set on Kern County Raceway Park where he unfortunately suffered mechanical problems and had to surrender to the pits early in the feature.
Hutchison ended the season third in points with nine starts, four top-fives, seven top-tens, and two heat race victories. Hutchison aims to go for the championship in the Western Sprintcar Series in 2016. His racing program is presented by Halo Learnport, Rex Hutchison Racing Engines, Naake Suspension, All Valley Tow, Rich Howe Racing, RacerBling, and Blakesley Sports Media.
