Williams, CA. February 1, 2020....... The sixth annual awards banquet honoring the top ten drivers in the 2019 North State Modified Series (NSMS), presented by Protect the Harvest was held Saturday night at Granzella's Banquet Facility in Williams, CA. Business Manager Nadine Strauss acted as master of ceremonies. Speakers were Rick Avila representing the “2018-19 Driving Out Cancer” tour, Shasta Speedway promoter Dave Twyman, and NASCAR official Butch Schafer. Series promoters Jeff Stephens and Bob Strauss talked about the future of modified racing, the 2020 rules, and racing schedule.

Tellstrom Wins Lloyd Burton "Against The Wind" Modified Challenge

Anderson, CA..... October 5, 2019… Kyle Tellstrom of Ukiah rocketed by race leader Darrin Knight of Ukiah on a lap-35 restart and stayed out in front the second half of the 60-lapper to win the 4th annual Lloyd Burton “Against the Wind” Modified Challenge at Shasta Speedway Saturday night.

Knight Continues To Dominate North State Modified Series

Eureka, CA..... September 21, 2019… Coming back from his wins at Douglas County Speedway in Roseburg, Oregon on August 24 and Lakeport Speedway last weekend, Darrin Knight of Kelseyville did it again at Redwood Acres Raceway in Eureka Saturday night during race number 11 of the North State Modified Series, presented by Protect the Harvest. The three-time NSMS champion pocketed another $1000 for his impressive win over points leader Scott Winters of Tracy and Randy Houston of Medford, Oregon.

Eureka, CA…...The North State Modified Series, presented by Protect the Harvest, will make its final appearance of the season at the Redwood Acres Raceway this Saturday night. A Friday afternoon practice will be held on the 3/8 mile paved oval from 4pm until 7pm. Redwood Acres Raceway is located at the Redwood Acres Fairgrounds at 3750 Harris Street in Eureka, CA.

Eureka, CA (September 16, 2019) – Champions will be crowned Saturday night at Redwood Acres Raceway as the 2019 season will wrap up with the annual Fall Spectacular. The North State Modified Series will be joining the action in their penultimate race of 2019. Blue Lake Casino Hotel and Sequoia Pine Senior Living will be presenting what should be a thrilling night of action with championships in all divisions still undecided.

Roseburg, Oregon..... August 24, 2019... The North State Modified Series, presented by Protect the Harvest, made its maiden voyage out of state Saturday night to become part of the A & M Transport West Coast Modified Shootout at Douglas County Speedway in Roseburg, Oregon. With $2000 to win up for grabs, the field was full of heavy-hitters, but it was three-time NSMS champion Darrin Knight of Kelseyville that was the dominant force who led 60 of the 75 laps to claim his second season victory. Ukiah's Kyle Tellstrom collected $1000 for finishing second, and Scott Winters of Tracy took home $850 for third.

Winters Breaks Track Record, Wins NSMS Race At Madera

Madera, CA…. August 3, 2019….. Scott Winters of Tracy set a new NSMS Hoosier Tire track record at Madera Speedway Saturday night and went on to win his first feature event in the North State Modified Series, presented by Protect the Harvest. Winters’ win bolted the Ferrari Farms team to a margin of only nine points behind Cameron Austin of Santa Rosa in the NSMS championship race. He also was named the Keyser Hard Charger for the night.

North State Modifieds Return To Madera Speedway For Kids Night

MADERA, CALIFORNIA (July 30, 2019) – The third 2019 appearance of the North State Modified Series and another large field of Madera Late Models will highlight Saturday’s Children’s Hospital Kids Night at Madera Speedway. An action-packed night of stock car racing will also include the North State Hobby Stock Challenge, Toyota Sedans, Modified Super Toyotas, and a Jr. Late Model exhibition race.

Eureka, CA (July 22, 2019) – It was a rough and rowdy night on the asphalt at Redwood Acres Raceway Saturday evening. There was plenty of exciting racing but several major incidents punctuated the event as well. McMurray And Sons presented the event which featured the North State Modified Series and the Upstate Bomber Series along with Bandoleros, roadrunners, mini stocks and Legends.

Cameron Austin Back To Back Victories With North State Modifieds

Eureka, CA…. July 20, 2019….. Coming back from his victory at All American Speedway two weeks ago, North State Modified Series points leader Cameron Austin of Santa Rosa held off the challenges of veteran Lucas Oil Modified driver Scott Winters of Tracy for 40 laps to win his second NSMS season feature event at Redwood Acres Raceway in Eureka Saturday night. Austin collected $1800 for his efforts which included $500 from McMurray & Sons Roofing, and a $300 cash bonus from North Coast Lighting and Electric. He also earned the $100 Keyser Manufacturing Hard Charger award. The North State Modified Series is presented by Protect the Harvest.

Eureka, CA (July 16, 2019) – After a week off, the 2019 season resumes this Saturday night at Redwood Acres Raceway. Bandoleros, roadrunners, mini stocks and Legends will be in action while the late models will be off. Local bomber drivers will be joining the Upstate Bomber Series for their second and final visit to RAR this season while the North State Modified Series will also be returning for the second time in 2019. McMurray And Sons will present all the action as part of the celebration of the company’s 100-year anniversary.

Cameron Austin Increases Points Lead With NSMS Victory

Roseville, CA…. July 6, 2019…..The North State Modified Series, presented by Protect the Harvest, made their only appearance at All American Speedway in Roseville for the 2019 season with a fast-paced 60 lap main event. Kelseyville’s Donovan Cox won the Lucas Oil Dash for $100 and then led the field to green. Cox led the opening lap before three-time NSMS champion Darrin Knight used the outside line to lead lap two. Roseville’s Terry Deal spun in turn two for a caution on lap four. Points leader Cameron Austin of Santa Rosa used the yellow to sweep around Knight on the outside to lead lap five.

(July 7, 2019) – Jason Romero got the victory he savored while battling with some tough competition, outfoxing Jeremy Doss in lapped traffic to win the second half of the NASCAR Late Model Twin 35s at All American Speedway on Saturday. Another strong turnout of fans in Roseville witnessed a busy night that included the Cherokee Tires Big Rig Rumble, North State Modified Series, and two hotly contested Late Model features.

Independence Day Celebration At All American Speedway In Roseville This Saturday

ROSEVILLE, Calif. (July 4, 2019) – Roseville’s All American Speedway returns to action on Saturday July 6th with one of the largest Independence Day celebrations in track history. The racing action will include the inaugural Cherokee Truck Tires Big Rig Rumble and the only 2019 appearance by the traveling North State Modified Series. NASCAR Whelen All-American Series local divisions will be competing, highlighted by Twin 35 lap races for the NASCAR Late Models. This exciting night will be capped by a spectacular fireworks show and led by San Francisco 49er fullback Tom Rathman as the Grand Marshal.

Anderson, CA... June 22, 2019.... Jason Philpot of Sacramento took the lead away from Oregon driver Rich Cobb on a lap 14 restart, and held off the challenges of Medford, Oregon’s Randy Houston the final 30 laps to capture his first season victory in the North State Modified Series, presented by Protect the Harvest, at Shasta Speedway Saturday night. Santa Rosa’s Cameron Austin finished a strong third, and with setting fast time over the 14 car field, regained the NSMS points lead from Robbie Knittel of Lodi.

Anderson, CA…..Ending their Southern California swing last week, which included races at both Stockton 99 Speedway and Madera Speedway, The North State Modified Series, presented by Protect the Harvest, will be moving north to Shasta Speedway in Anderson, CA this Saturday night for race #6 of the 2019 Driving Out Cancer Awareness Tour. The event will be a part of the Shasta County Fair festivities, and will be the first of two appearances for NSMS at this three-eighth mile paved oval.

Madera CA... June 15, 2019.... Coming off a victory at Stockton 99 Speedway two weeks ago, Robbie Knittel of Lodi drove the Ferrari Farms #24 modified to his second straight $1000 victory at Madera Speedway Saturday night as the North State Modified Series, presented by Protect the Harvest, completed race #5 of the 2019 Driving Out Cancer Awareness Tour. Knittel also set fast time of 15.117 seconds and took over the NSMS points lead by two points over Cameron Austin of Santa Rosa.

Stockton CA... June 1, 2019.... Robbie Knittel of Lodi drove the Ferrari Farms #24 modified to a $1000 victory at Stockton 99 Speedway Saturday night as the North State Modified Series, presented by Protect the Harvest, completed race #4 of the 2019 Driving Out Cancer Awareness Tour. Knittel led the event wire-to-wire, holding off the challenges of Kelseyville’s Darrin Knight the entire distance to take the win. Knight was the winner the first race at Stockton earlier this season.
