Bryan Warf Set To Close Out Season For Orchex #8 Sprint Car

SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA (October 14, 2016) – Idaho's Bryan Warf will climb back aboard Glenn Hutchison's #8 Orchex / All Valley Towing Rex Hutchison Beast for this weekend's Orchex King of the Wing Western Sprint Car Series finale at Tucson Raceway Park. Races will take place Friday and Saturday nights at the progressively banked 4/10s mile oval with Hutchison's team in contention for the owner's championship and Warf mathematically in the hunt for the driver's title.

Hutchison utilized the services of Tennessee's Kyle Edwards for last weekend's Royal Purple King of the Wing national races at California's Stockton 99 Speedway in Stockton and Kern County Raceway Park in Bakersfield. The races were co-sanctioned by the Western Series with Warf driving for Pat Russell in the #91 entry that utilizes Rex Hutchison power.

Edwards had never raced at the tough 68 year-old quarter-mile in Stockton on Saturday night and qualified 13th with an 11.873 second lap. His evening improved with a second place finish in the heat race to set up the main event. He went on to finish seventh in the hotly contested 30 lap main event.

From the series' smallest track, the national tour moved on to Sunday's championship finale at the immaculate Kern County Raceway Park in Bakersfield, CA. At more than a half a mile it is one of the biggest and fastest winged sprint car tracks in the country. Edwards clicked off a 15.181 second lap at 118.569 miles per hour average to time in sixth. He ran third in the heat race but his biggest run of the weekend came in the feature. Edwards led the first five laps of competition and ran within the top-five for much of the race before a late race spin relegated him to sixth in the final finishing order.

For this weekend's Western Series activities at Tucson, Warf climbs back into the #8 trailing second in points by just 30 markers with the points leader not confirmed to attend at press time. At minimum, Warf will be engaged in a spirited battle for at least second in drivers points despite missing one round of the Western Series. He has three wins and one second place finish in his starts for Glenn Hutchison this year. Hutchison's team leads the owners points by 12 points over the car campaigned by national champion DJ Hamilton.

Racing action will be chronicled all weekend long on the King of the Wing Facebook and Twitter pages. You can learn more about Dylan Hutchison Racing at www.dylanhutchison.com or by visiting the team on Facebook at keywords “Dylan Hutchison Racing”.

SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA (June 14, 2016) – Guest driving the #8 Royal Purple / All Valley Towing Beast Rex Hutchison Chevrolet, Meridian, ID's Bryan Warf earned his second consecutive victory on Saturday night. Warf claimed the MAVTV-televised Madera Super Sprint Series feature on the one-third mile asphalt oval in Madera, CA. The win goes along with Warf's victory on Memorial Day in Salt Lake City, UT as well.

Glenn Hutchison fields the bright yellow #8 Beast chassis in both the Super Sprint Series and the Orchex King of the Wing Western Sprint Cars. His son Dylan is on an extended hiatus due to an injury unrelated to racing.

In 60 laps of feature competition driving for Hutchison, Warf has led 55 laps. It took Warf just three laps to charge from fifth starting to the lead in Utah. Saturday Warf did one better charging from fourth to second in only two laps. He started on the outside pole for the 30 lap contest and shot into second on the opening lap. The following lap he swung around the outside of Justin Kawahata to take the lead.

Warf accumulated a half lap lead before a late caution on lap 23 brought the field back together. The race was held as the track went from sunshine into darkness and Warf began to fight a tight condition on the car. The fans were treated to an exciting finish between the veteran Warf and impressive rookie Dylan Noble as they ran nose-to-tail. Warf mashed the gas and lifted his wheels off the ground as they came across the finish line. The official margin of victory was .266 seconds.

Warf adjusted to changing track conditions throughout the day on an unseasonably mild afternoon. He led the first practice with a 13.236 second lap and had a six tenth swing for a 12.660 to lead the second session as well. His 12.873 in time trials was good enough for third before experimenting with lines in the heat race en route to a third place finish there.

The next scheduled race for the #8 Royal Purple / All Valley Towing Rex Hutchison Chevrolet is July 9th during the Gerhardt Classic at Madera Speedway. A driver will be named at a later date.

MAVTV Western Super Sprints air on MAVTV on Thursday nights at 5 p.m. Pacific / 8 p.m. as part of the "Madera Racing" motorsports show. Check your local listings.

SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA (June 2, 2016) – Meridian, ID's Bryan Warf made the most of a fill in opportunity on Monday, taking the #8 Royal Purple / Learnport Beast Rex Hutchison Chevrolet to victory with the Orchex King of the Wing Western Sprintcar Series. The victory at Rocky Mountain Raceway in Salt Lake City, UT came after driver Dylan Hutchison was unable to compete due to a hand injury unrelated to racing.

Warf came on board with Glenn Hutchison Racing after sitting behind Rex Hutchison Racing Engines-powered Sprint Cars throughout his career. Warf usually drives the #91 for Pat Russell that will be in action in this weekend's Diamond Cup at Meridian, ID.

20 Western Sprintcars were in action for the series' debut at the 3/8ths mile high banked oval. Warf wasted little time getting up to speed in the All Valley Towing-sponsored car by leading both practices. A 13.074 second lap at 103.258 mph in qualifying placed Warf third in time trials. After running second in his heat race it was time for the 30 lap feature.

Warf pushed off from the fifth position and immediately leapt past Lonnie Adamson for fourth on the opening lap and points leader Eric Humphries a lap later. Warf overhauled both TJ Thorne and Ryan Burdett on lap two to take the lead on lap three. He lowered his best lap at the facility down to a 13.070 second lap on lap 23 of the feature.

The .647 second victory for Warf goes along with a third place finish and a heat win for Dylan Hutchison in the series points opener at Madera on March 19th. Glenn Hutchison and car #8 now rank second in the owners points for the Orchex King of the Wing Western Sprintcar Series. Dylan Hutchison is expected to also miss the June 11th "Madera Western Super Sprints" event with a replacement driver to be announced soon.

Royal Purple is based in Porter, Texas and produces a wide range of high performance lubricants for nearly every consumer and industrial application. Royal Purple’s sole mission is to develop products that significantly outperform other synthetic and mineral based oils. It is considered by many to be the best synthetic motor oil in the world.

Round #1 of the King of the Wing Western Sprints airs on MAVTV on Thursday night June 9th at 5 p.m. Pacific / 8 p.m. Eastern Time as part of the "Madera Racing" motorsports show. The event will be paired with the inaugural race for the Jr. Late Model division in an hour long broadcast.
