Madera Speedway Releases Revised 2020 Racing Schedule

MADERA, CALIF. (June 19, 2020) – Madera Speedway has released a revised schedule for the remainder of the 48th season of competition at the one-third mile oval. Among the changes are calendar changes for the MAVTV-televised Nut Up Pro Late Models and 51FIFTY Jr. Late Model Series, along with their young counterparts in the Mini Cup vs. Bandoleros series.

Avedisian Wins Both A Class And Restricted Titles During Sooner Speedweek

CLOVIS, CALIFORNIA (June 15, 2020) – Jade Avedisian of Clovis, Calif. persevered through five consecutive nights of competition to achieve a career-defining feat, winning both the A Class and Restricted championships during the National Open Wheel 600 Series Sooner Speedweek. The five-night extravaganza of Micro Sprint racing began on Wednesday in Caney, KS and ended in Sapulpa, OK. 13 year-old Avedisian scored three wins and a perfect ten-for-ten top-five finishes to win the championships.

Jacob Smith Earns First Career Madera Late Model Win

MADERA, Calif. (June 13, 2020) – For the second consecutive week, a Bakersfield driver reigned supreme at Madera as Jacob Smith won his first feature at the one-third mile asphalt oval on Saturday evening. Smith won qualifying and his heat race, then led all 40 laps of the feature for the non-televised series. The racing action was shown on ShortTrackTV on YouTube with fans from across the country viewing.

All American Speedway Approved For Testing On June 20th

ROSEVILLE, Calif. (June 12, 2020) – All American Speedway has been approved by local and state officials for reopening of operations, beginning with a Test and Tune on Saturday, June 20th. With the state of California moving into stage three of its industry guidance, the speedway in Roseville, Calif. was approved for events without spectators by both Placer County and @the Grounds.

June 20 Races Canceled, 2020 Season Will Begin With July 11 Firecracker 100

Eureka, CA (June 10, 2020) – Redwood Acres Raceway officials are sad to announce the cancelation of the June 20 race due to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. The event was scratched after conferring with Humboldt County Health Officer Dr. Teresa Frankovich. It is the fourth race of the 2020 season that has been forced to cancelation.

Series Officials Optimistic on 2020 Season

SPOKANE, Wash. (June 9, 2020)–Despite the continued moving target of a 2020 Northwest Super Late Model Series season-opener, officials and track partners remain upbeat about the potential to run a complete season of events this year. The series first two race dates have been pushed back into at least the month of July with the understanding that if current pandemic conditions improve, events with spectators could begin in mid-summer.

Buddy Shepherd Sweeps Madera Late Model 2020 Opening Race

MADERA, Calif. (June 6, 2020) – Two-time Nut Up Pro Late Model champion Buddy Shepherd had a perfect Madera Speedway season opener on Saturday afternoon, sweeping qualifying, the heat race, and leading all 40-laps of the feature. The 2020 season opener attracted 15 non-televised Madera Late Models to the one-third mile asphalt oval at the Madera fairgrounds.

2020 California Speedweek Canceled

STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA (June 2, 2020) – The 2020 Hoosier Tire California Speedweek has been canceled because of uncertainty surrounding track operations due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, officials announced Tuesday. The Speedweek was set to be held across Dixon Speedway, Delta Speedway, Keller Auto Raceway at Plaza Park, and Lemoore Raceway on June 23-27 in California.

Green Flag Flies For Racing At Madera With Action To Resume June 6

(June 1, 2020) – Madera Speedway will open its gates for racing competition on Saturday June 6th, with the Madera Late Models and Toyotas on the card for the first event of the 2020 season. Madera Speedway has moved into the racing phase of its reopening plan, with approval from the Madera County Health Department.

June 6 Race At Redwood Acres Raceway Canceled

Eureka, CA (May 27, 2020) – After consulting Humboldt County Health Officer Dr. Teresa Frankovich, Redwood Acres Raceway officials regretfully announce that the race scheduled for June 6 has been canceled. Track officials requested permission to race what would have been the 2020 season opening event but Dr. Frankovich denied the request. Dr. Frankovich indicated that racing at the Acres could begin very soon. Raceway officials have requested that the race scheduled for June 20 be allowed and are hopeful that the season can begin on that date.

Avedisian Earns First Career A-Class Win As Part Of Winning Weekend With NOW600

CLOVIS, CALIFORNIA (May 26, 2020) – Jade Avedisian of Clovis, Calif. took over the points lead in both Restricted and A-Class in the National Open Wheel 600 Series over the weekend, scoring three main event victories including her first career A-Class feature win at Nevada Speedway in Nevada, MO. She swept the action at Nevada by also winning the Restricted main event. She also added a victory in Restricted on Friday night at KC Raceway in Independence, MO.

DIXON, CALIF. (May 25, 2020) – The growth of Micro Sprint racing in California was clear on Saturday and Sunday at Dixon Speedway, as over 100 entries per night competed in a Memorial Day weekend special. First-time winners and strong performances led the way, including Sacramento’s Austin Wood sweeping Restricted competition while Brandon Carey and Brandon Shaw split the weekend’s Non-Wing features. Saturday’s 118 car field led the weekend car counts.

All American Speedway Event For May 16 Postponed

ROSEVILLE, Calif. (May 4, 2020) – Officials from the All American Speedway and the SRL Southwest Tour have postponed the JM Environmental Inc. Wild West Shootout SRL and NASCAR Weekly event scheduled for May 16. Due to California’s statewide stay at home guidelines, racing will not take place as scheduled.

Madera Speedway Announces Approval For Phased Opening

MADERA, CALIFORNIA (May 4, 2020) – A path towards the opening of the 2020 racing season at Madera Speedway has been approved, speedway officials announced on Saturday after extensive discussions with Madera County. Phase one – limited competitor practice – has been given the go-ahead immediately at the one-third mile oval. Race operations ceased on March 12th – just two days before the scheduled MAVTV-televised Late Model opening night – as a result of the worldwide COVID19 Pandemic.

May 16 Race At Redwood Acres Raceway Canceled

Eureka, CA (May 1, 2020) – Due to the continuing COVID-19 coronavirus epidemic, Redwood Acres Raceway officials have announced the cancelation of the race that was scheduled for May 16. Sadly, this is the second time the 2020 RAR season opener has been canceled because of the worldwide epidemic. Initially, the season was scheduled to open this Saturday May 2. Raceway officials are continuing to work toward completing as much of the intended 2020 schedule as possible and are hoping that the season will begin on June 6 just as much as race fans, drivers and crew do.

Eureka, CA (April 6, 2020) – Due to the COVID-19 coronavirus and its affect throughout not only Northern California but the entire world, Redwood Acres Raceway officials have announced the cancellation of practice that was originally scheduled to on April 16. In addition, the season opening race scheduled on May 2 has also been cancelled. This will make the race scheduled for May 16 the first of the year.

MADERA, CALIFORNIA (March 10, 2020) –The richest season of stock car racing at Madera Speedway begins this Saturday night with the $5,000 to win Nut Up Pro Late Model 100 at the one-third mile speedway. The event also kicks off the RACE 2B DRUG FREE BIG3 Series, televised on MAVTV. A large field of 51FIFTY Jr. Late Models and Mini Cups vs. Bandoleros will be in action as well, joined by Modified Super Toyotas on the undercard.

The sixth annual awards banquet honoring the top ten drivers in the 2019 North State Modified Series (NSMS), presented by Protect the Harvest was held Saturday night at Granzella's Banquet Facility in Williams, CA. Business Manager Nadine Strauss acted as master of ceremonies. Speakers were Rick Avila representing the “2018-19 Driving Out Cancer” tour, Shasta Speedway promoter Dave Twyman, and NASCAR official Butch Schafer. Series promoters Jeff Stephens and Bob Strauss talked about the future of modified racing, the 2020 rules, and racing schedule.

Awards Gala Sets Stage For 2020 Season At All American Speedway

ROSEVILLE, Calif. (January 24, 2020) – All American Speedway powered by Roseville Toyota celebrated its 2019 season on Saturday night with the Championship Awards Gala, held inside Johnson Hall @the Grounds in Roseville. An outstanding turnout of over 250 drivers, families, sponsors, officials, and race fans were on hand for more than 60 awards. Daytona 500 champion Crew Chief and NASCAR on Fox broadcaster Larry McReynolds was the Master of Ceremonies.
