READY TO TAKE THE GREEN FLAG:
• Garrett Evans and Alan Cress are tied atop the NWSLMS Championship standings. South Sound may be the race that gives either driver an edge in the chase for the 2019 title as each has had success at the Rochester, Wash. track.
• Cress has a NWSLMS victory at South Sound Speedway (August 2018) while Evans has earned his wins as a competitor on the NASCAR Northwest Series.
• Jefferson Pitts Racing Rookie of the Year candidate, Tristan Haider, will be aiming for his first career victory as he takes the green flag on his home track. Haider finished 8th in his lone 2018 series start at South Sound Speedway (Aug. 18).
• Brittney Zamora will not be back to defend her South Sound 125 victory as she is competing at Memphis International Raceway with the NASCAR K&N Pro Series.
• Chad Hinkle is no stranger to success at South Sound Speedway, including being in the hunt for the series inaugural victory in 2017. With the drive of the No. 38 in contention for the NWSLMS 2019 championship, Hinkle will be one to watch in this weekend’s South Sound 125.

SOUTH SOUND 125 NOTE OF THE WEEK: ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS
• NWSLMS racing at South Sound Speedway has produced wild finishes, first time winners and all being done in front of some of the biggest crowds in its history. Since 2017’s inaugural NWSLMS event, South Sound has become a draw for race teams up and down the I-5 corridor looking to tame its tricky surface. Mitch Kleyn picked up his first career victory on the series in that inaugural event battling Chad Hinkle to the wire for the checkered flag. Winning at South Sound bodes well for capturing a series championship as Brittney Zamora won this race last season en route to her second consecutive series title.

LOOKING BACK TO THE APPLE CUP 125:
