Roseville, CA...... All American Speedway, located at “The Grounds” in Roseville, CA, will be the next stop for the North State Modified Series, presented by Protect the Harvest, in its “2018 Driving Out Cancer Tour.” The facility has new owners with the race track being promoted by long-time racer-promoter Bill McAnally of Roseville.

“The Roseville race will mark the half-way point in our 10-race season,” said NSMS co-promoter Nadine Strauss. “ We have had four races with four different feature winners. We hope to make that five Saturday night.”

The first race of the season was at Shasta Speedway in Anderson. Sacramento driver Kris Price was the big winner at Shasta with Herman Pulyer of Wilderville, Oregon capturing the “B” main event. Medford Oregon driver Randy Houston set fast time and finished fourth making him the points leader after round one.

Redwood Acres Raceway in Eureka was next on the NSMS schedule with Jason Philpot of Sacramento claiming that win over Eric Johnson and Kris Price. Houston's fourth place finish kept him up front in points, but Houston did not make the next race at Madera Speedway, handing the number one spot in the championship battle over to Kris Price. Cameron Austin drove to victory in the 60 lap feature at Madera for his first win in the North State Modified Series. Price finished third.

Round four on the tour was at Ukiah Speedway with local driver Kyle Tellstrom taking home the win. Price was unable to finish all 60 laps, and that shot Jason Philpot into first place in points, only two points over Price.

“The points battle has been so close this season,” Strauss said. “It's anyone's guess who will come out on top at the end.”

The North State Modified Series is presented by: Protect the Harvest, Lucas Oil, Ward Land Management & Development, Hoosier Tire West, Sunoco Race Fuels, Naake Suspension, Five Star Bodies, Racer Bling, Keyser Racing Products, Scribner Plastics and Frank's Radios.

Gates open at All American Speedway at 4:00 pm with racing at 5:00 pm. Joining the North State Modifieds will be the local late models, junior late models, limited modifieds, super stocks, F-4s, mini cups and bandoleros.
