Bryan Warf Set To Close Out Season For Orchex #8 Sprint Car

SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA (October 14, 2016) – Idaho's Bryan Warf will climb back aboard Glenn Hutchison's #8 Orchex / All Valley Towing Rex Hutchison Beast for this weekend's Orchex King of the Wing Western Sprint Car Series finale at Tucson Raceway Park. Races will take place Friday and Saturday nights at the progressively banked 4/10s mile oval with Hutchison's team in contention for the owner's championship and Warf mathematically in the hunt for the driver's title.

Hutchison utilized the services of Tennessee's Kyle Edwards for last weekend's Royal Purple King of the Wing national races at California's Stockton 99 Speedway in Stockton and Kern County Raceway Park in Bakersfield. The races were co-sanctioned by the Western Series with Warf driving for Pat Russell in the #91 entry that utilizes Rex Hutchison power.

Edwards had never raced at the tough 68 year-old quarter-mile in Stockton on Saturday night and qualified 13th with an 11.873 second lap. His evening improved with a second place finish in the heat race to set up the main event. He went on to finish seventh in the hotly contested 30 lap main event.

From the series' smallest track, the national tour moved on to Sunday's championship finale at the immaculate Kern County Raceway Park in Bakersfield, CA. At more than a half a mile it is one of the biggest and fastest winged sprint car tracks in the country. Edwards clicked off a 15.181 second lap at 118.569 miles per hour average to time in sixth. He ran third in the heat race but his biggest run of the weekend came in the feature. Edwards led the first five laps of competition and ran within the top-five for much of the race before a late race spin relegated him to sixth in the final finishing order.

For this weekend's Western Series activities at Tucson, Warf climbs back into the #8 trailing second in points by just 30 markers with the points leader not confirmed to attend at press time. At minimum, Warf will be engaged in a spirited battle for at least second in drivers points despite missing one round of the Western Series. He has three wins and one second place finish in his starts for Glenn Hutchison this year. Hutchison's team leads the owners points by 12 points over the car campaigned by national champion DJ Hamilton.

Racing action will be chronicled all weekend long on the King of the Wing Facebook and Twitter pages. You can learn more about Dylan Hutchison Racing at www.dylanhutchison.com or by visiting the team on Facebook at keywords “Dylan Hutchison Racing”.
