CENTRAL WELDING 125 NOTES OF INTEREST:
• The Central Welding 125 kicks off the second half of the NWSLMS season. A mere 25 points separate the top-6 drivers in the chase for the 2019 championship.
• Tristan Haider continues to lead the battle for the Jefferson Pitts Racing Rookie of the Year award. Jesse Jensen is his closest challenger.
• Trenton Moriarity will be one driver to watch in the Central Welding 125 as the Monroe, Wash. native looks to capture his first NWSLMS victory on his home track of Evergreen Speedway. Last season Moriarity posted a runner-up finish and a seventh-place effort in his NWSLMS starts on Evergreen’s .375-mile oval.
• The Central Welding 125 will be Chad Hinkle’s first series start on Evergreen’s short track. Hinkle has a stellar resume at South Sound Speedway, a .375-mile oval similar to Evergreen’s facility.
• Garrett Evans, a three-time series champion, will be looking to add to his list of accomplishments with a victory on the .375-mile track. Evans has yet to win a NWSLMS event at Evergreen Speedway.
• Parker Stephens was the first NWSLMS driver to win Central Welding 125. The victory came in the inaugural NWSLMS event on Evergreen’s .375-mile track.
